1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SimplyExpensed ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

SimplyExpensed is a cloud-based expense tracking platform that provides receipt scanning via AI-powered OCR, expense categorization, reporting, and export capabilities. The Service is offered in Free, Pro, and Business tiers with varying feature access.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our refund policy.
• Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Upload fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all expense data, receipts, and reports you create. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to process and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

SimplyExpensed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days before it is permanently deleted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
